Testimonial: adult employee in her 30s wrote about the experience with Midland Dyslexia

I am an adult in my mid thirties and have recently had a dyslexia assessment with Rebecca. I was quite nervous about having the assessment but Rebecca was able to put my mind at rest and I found her to be extremely knowledgeable and understanding.
Once I had the assessment which took about 2.5 hours, Rebecca contacted me to discuss the assessment and results in more depth. I then received the full report soon after.
For me, it was a huge relief to be told I had a profile consistent with dyslexia. I was not going mad! My difficulties are because I have a specific learning disability which I have found out is very common. Rebecca was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses and recommend strategies to assist me with overcoming my difficulties. She also provided me with information on access to work and sign posted me to other organisations.
My next plan of action is to follow Rebecca's recommendations now that I have had the time to reflect on my diagnosis.
